In a recent thrifting blog, I mentioned my struggle to find fleece tights that match my skin tone. Exciting update: I tracked some down! The influx of businesses selling light to dark brown fleece tights has me stunned, I’m guessing the vendors finally budged. Darker shades always being an after-thought is irritating, but I’m so happy we’re finally being included. I really want to elevate my style this season and fleece tights are essential for keeping warm in skirts and dresses.

I literally squealed when I got my hands on these! The color is perfect, I couldn’t believe I was actually holding brown fleece tights. The inside is so incredibly soft, the quality made me feel better about my purchase. I wore these tights on a cold rainy day, standing outside for over an hour, and my legs felt completely fine. According to Swift May, sizes S to L are 250g and XL-3XL are 300g in terms of fleece thickness. I initially went for a size S but ultimately chose M/L due to my height. Size S is catered toward the petite type (around 5’0), and I really didn’t want to risk an uncomfortable fit. I may only be 5’6 but these legs are long!
I got the color Caramel, the second to last shade. The shade range could definitely be expanded at least another deep shade/undertone, but it’s still unclear to me how the last shade looks. The pictures seem to be from Pinterest, I wish Swift May would display the actual products because it’s kind of ridiculous. I almost got the last shade because of the confusion. Luckily, I saw comments that said Caramel is better for those with a warmer skin tone and I’m practically orange when it comes to foundations (my Starfire serve), so it was a no-brainer. But honestly, I could probably get away with the last shade as well.
Color theory intrigues me because one shade will match multiple skin tones. It’s like our brains have this built-in “justification” feature that makes it all come together seamlessly. So, if you’re a few shades lighter or darker than me and have a warm undertone, Caramel just might be your shade. Otherwise, ‘Honey’ and ‘Cocoa’ are available, and I have some possible alternatives listed at the end.

Gosh these are perfect! These fleece tights are a darker, more attractive look compared to the previous ones. Swift May tights resemble my natural legs, while Noosh tights look like my legs with sheer tights. I love the sultry look these give off; they automatically upgrade any outfit. However, if I’m being completely honest, the fleece lining of the tights left me feeling somewhat underwhelmed. Compared to Swift May, the fleece is much thinner and doesn’t compare in softness. (but it’s still soft)
Despite my initial disappointment, all my worries went away once I put the tights on and tested them outside. My legs still felt warm, so although the fleece isn’t as thick, they still do their job, and the tights look AMAZING. Noosh doesn’t clarify what thickness the fleece is, but I’m guessing it’s not 250g like Swift May. The quality is still great, and they fit comfortably. Definitely suitable for regular cold temperatures. (and they look effing great)
Final Thoughts
I’m SO happy with my new tights. They’re both gorgeous and sure to keep me warm during these cold seasons. I bought six tights in total, three from each brand which I think is plenty for now. I will say, these “sale” prices they have need to be the actual prices because they OD.. lol. Still happy with my purchases of course.
I also ordered fleece tights from Deeping It but canceled my order due to slow processing times. I really wanted them but for what I was paying, the wait was not worth it. I paid an additional $16 for expedited shipping and my order hadn’t shipped after a week due to the 10 business days processing time. (which I didn’t see at first) I’m still interested in trying Deeping It, but I don’t think I’ll need more tights anytime soon.
Black Girl Friendly Fleece Tights I was able to find:
- GetNoosh.com ($34)
- DeepingIt.com ($39-$52) Black-owned
- SwiftMay.com ($45)
- MelaninFleeceTights.com ($45) Black-owned
I wish we had options priced in the $20 range that lighter shades have access to. Hopefully they’ll be more affordable in due time.
Anyways, I LOOOVE my new tights!! Let me know if you decide to get some!

that’s what I’m saying! if you search amazon you’ll see them for 10, 15, 20 dollars for white/light shades meanwhile we have to pay $40 MINIMUM. ☠️
